My rates are based on a 25-line, clean, turn-in-ready transcript.

If your transcript requires additional corrections or includes heavy medical or technical terminology, an extra charge of $0.10 per page will apply.

Turnaround time is available Monday through Saturday.

Please note:

  • Sundays and major holidays are not factored into turnaround times.
  • Turnaround time begins when I confirm receipt of your files via email.
  • Files received after 8 p.m. Mountain Time will be logged as received at 8 a.m. Mountain Time the following day, and turnaround will be calculated from that point, unless otherwise arranged in advance.

Additional Charges

Additional charges may apply based on the following conditions:

  • Extra lines: If the transcript exceeds 25 lines per page, an additional $0.05 per page will be added to the rates.
  • Technical or Complex Content: If the transcript contains highly technical or dense material, an additional $0.10 per page will be applied.
  • Messy or Unpolished Transcript: If the transcript is difficult to read or not properly formatted, an additional $0.10 per page will be charged. Please ensure your transcript is in its final draft form before submission. While I don’t expect it to be completely error-free, it’s important that it has been thoroughly reviewed and scoped. The more errors on a page, the more challenging it is to provide an accurate transcript.

If the Technical or “Messy” upcharge should apply, I’ll reach out to discuss your options before moving forward.


First Two Transcripts

Invoiced: upon completion

Payment due: within 24 hours

Regular Work

Invoiced: on the 1st and 15th of each month

Payment due: within 15 days


Billing

Invoices

Invoices will be emailed via FreshBooks on the 1st and 15th of each month for regular clients. Payment is due within 15 days and can be made directly from the invoice using credit and debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay or ACH bank transfer. I also accept payments via Zelle as well.

New Clients

New clients and one-time projects will be billed as soon as the annotated transcript PDF is returned with payment due within 24 hours. Payment for the first invoice must be received before any future work is accepted.

Late Fees

If payment is not received by the due date, then a 10% late fee will be applied. (Late fees will accrue monthly until payment is received.) For accounts that are overdue, no additional work will be accepted until the balance is paid in full.


Extras

Backup Proofreader: When your proofreader is on vacation, sick, fully booked, or unavailable for some other reason, I’m available as a backup for you.

Referral discount: Receive 10% off your next job when you refer a client. This discount will apply once payment has been received from the referred client.
